The technologies for producing sculptures from concrete are not much different from the technologies for producing sculptures from plaster: they can be divided into 2 types - casting in a mold and sculpting on a frame. In addition, the masters of the OMI studio - one of the few in Ukraine who have mastered the unique technique of working with polymer concrete, which came to Ukraine from Europe.

If we talk about the differences that would influence the choice of material for making a custom sculpture, then they mainly consist in the properties of the materials themselves. Concrete showed better performance characteristics than gypsum. Accordingly, polymer concrete can be compared to stone in its strength. Concrete sculptures are more resistant to temperature changes, chemical and physical influences, do not absorb water, and are easy to paint. Plaster can be used to perform more delicate work and convey exceptional similarity to the original in this material.
