As part of the exchange of experience at the Kiev exhibition center on the street. Vorovsky, a Polish-Ukrainian exhibition of unusual sculptures “Modern Art” was held. On the Ukrainian side, the ideological inspirer and organizer of the exhibition was the art director of the OMI studio, Bogdan Kazachenko.
“The idea of this exhibition was to show the limitless possibilities of art. All objects for display were made from inexpensive scrap materials. Some elements of future sculptures by the OMI master were literally collected on the streets of the city. The found objects, having undergone a certain deformation and modernization, eventually became art objects of this exhibition,” said Bogdan Kazachenko.
The creators of the sculptures set themselves the goal, first of all, to surprise the viewer and show that even in a paper clip, sawdust or an ordinary nail there is potential that is revealed in the skillful hands of a master. p>

The art director of the OMI studio said that the exhibition became a certain stage of development both for the masters of the OMI studio and for their Polish colleagues. The parties exchanged experience in using various materials and techniques for creating creative works..
“We didn’t know Polish, our colleagues didn’t know Ukrainian, but we understood each other perfectly. I would even say that we communicated in a common language of art,” noted Bogdan Kazachenko.
