One of the early works of the masters of the OMI studio is models of cheese heads for the Wine House company. The customer’s plan was to use dummies to decorate the windows of wine stores of his own chain. The OMI studio has developed and created several modifications of the cheese, differing from each other in color and composition of the wax coating.
“All the dummies we create cannot be distinguished from the original in appearance and touch. You can understand that this is a fake only by lifting a head of cheese: since the base is foam, coated with natural wax, it is very light. Cooperation with Wine House was pleasant and easy. All the modifications we created were highly appreciated by company representatives, as evidenced by the purchase of even the exhibition sample, which we wanted to keep for advertising purposes,” said art director of the OMI studioBogdan Kazachenko.
Bogdan said that the material for creating a dummy, decoration or props is chosen by the master depending on the task set by the customer. Different materials have different performance properties. Experts also pay great attention to the coating of the dummy, since its quality determines the resemblance to the original and resistance to aggressive environments (wet cleaning, natural phenomena, human factors). The masters of the OMI studio create dummies not only of food products, but also props of household, audio and video equipment, educational medical and veterinary aids, theatrical scenery, dummies for advertising campaigns and much more.
