Topiary Art in the City: OMI Studio Creates a Unique Sculptural Installation for a Residential Complex in Kyiv

One of Kyiv’s new residential complexes has welcomed an eye-catching art installation that has already attracted the attention of both residents and visitors. Prop artists and decorators from OMI Studio have created a striking custom-made sculptural composition titled "Morning in a Pine Forest" — modern bears crafted from artificial grass.

The composition was inspired by the famous painting by Ivan Shishkin, yet reimagined in a new format — as topiary sculptures that blend seamlessly into the landscape of the residential environment. These artificial grass sculptures are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also highly practical: they are weather-resistant, maintenance-free, and retain their vibrant color all year round.

OMI Studio specializes in designing and crafting custom topiary figures to order. The studio’s portfolio includes dozens of original projects for private yards, business centers, parks, and residential complexes across Ukraine. Each sculpture is developed with careful consideration of the architecture and style of the space it is created for.
