On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, the masters of the OMI studio completed another order from the Kyiv City State Administration to create photo zones on Sofievskaya Square. It is here that from December 19, 2015 to January 19, 2016, all New Year and Christmas mass festivities under the general title “New River between two festivals 2016” are held for Kiev residents and guests of the city.
“Seven different photo zones have been created in all parts of the square. When developing the appearance, we took into account the interests of all age categories. We tried to make the photo zones interesting and comfortable: here you can not only take pictures, but also sit and relax. Considering that the peak time for mass celebrations is in the evening, we also equipped them with various types of lighting,” emphasized Bogdan Kazachenko, art director of the OMI studio.
Ecological materials were taken as the basis - polished wooden boards. The craftsmen did a huge part of the work in the workshops - cutting, sanding and preparing the boards for assembly. Already assembled, the photo zones were decorated with appropriate New Year's decorations.
“It is especially pleasant to see the abundance of photographs taken in the photo zones on Sophia Square posted on social networks. We perceive this as a successfully implemented project of the Kyiv administration and the best assessment of our work,” noted Bogdan Kazachenko.
