The masters of the OMI studio created the memorial “Eternal Memory to Your Sons, Ukraine”

In the winter-spring period of 2016, the masters of the OMI studio developed a project and created the memorial “Eternal Memory to Your Sons, Ukraine”. The project was created by order of the municipality of Talnoye, Cherkasy region, with the support of the public and entrepreneurs of the city.

The memorial is a composition of three independent elements, each of which could carry its own semantic load. However, the complete picture reflecting modern Ukrainian history is depicted precisely in a holistic composition. The height of the central element is 4.5 meters, the side ones are more than one and a half meters.

“This memorial reflects the realities of today, when in the east of Ukraine there are battles for the integrity and sovereignty of our country and people are dying every day. The central element identifies the Motherland, our Ukraine. Her faithful sons stand guard over the Motherland, ready to give for it the most precious thing they have - their lives. When creating the sculpture, the masters of the OMI studio, each of whom has this topic close to their hearts, put their souls into it, one might say, they wrote a message for our descendants: to preserve peace and tranquility in Ukraine,” said Bohdan Kazachenko, art director of the OMI studio. .

When making the memorial “To Your Faithful Sons, Ukraine,” one of the inexpensive sculptural natural stones was used - sandstone. This is a fairly durable material that can be processed well. To extend the service life, the masters of the OMI studio impregnated the finished composition with special impregnations that repel water. Close and productive cooperation with the customer allowed us to reduce the production time for the memorial from 6 to 4 months.
