Masters of the OMI studio initiated tree planting on the left bank of Dneprodzerzhinsk

In the fall of 2015, on the initiative of the masters of the OMI studio, with the support of the city authorities, an action was held to plant trees in the courtyards of the left bank of Dneprodzerzhinsk. The choice of the craftsmen was not accidental - this is a fairly “young”, at one time dynamically developing area, where almost a third of the city’s population lives. But the issue of landscaping is not given enough attention here.

The event was attended by representatives of the Association of Masters of Arts of Ukraine, the deputy corps and city authorities, as well as residents of the area. Based on the opinion of city experts, varieties of coniferous and deciduous trees were selected that take root well in the area.

“The residents of the courtyards, having seen our initiative, actively joined in the work. Together, under the guidance of specialists, more than 50 trees were planted. Experience shows that by taking part in planting trees, townspeople subsequently become more enthusiastic about caring for green spaces and the survival rate of seedlings increases,” emphasized Igor Ashcheulov, founder and art director of the OMI studio.
