The masters of the OMI studio have completed the first stage of cooperation with the Cultural Center of Bulgaria. For placement in one of the national parks of Bulgaria, Ukrainian specialists created models of two monuments and three architectural models of buildings-monuments of architectural art: the building of the Presidential Administration and Parliament on People's Assembly Square, the summer residence of the Bulgarian royal family on the Black Sea coast - the Evksinograd Palace and the National Theater named after Ivan Vazov. In order to create exact copies of buildings on a scale of 1:25, specialists from the OMI studio did a huge amount of preliminary work, namely, professional photography and video shooting of objects from all sides and from the air.
Architectural models consist of many individual parts, securely glued together, and hand-painted by professional OMI artists. Technologies such as modeling, 3D printing, cutting, casting were used in production; materials such as PVC, acrylic, polyurethane. The effect of water movement in reservoirs was achieved using polyester resin.
“We tried not only to recreate exact copies of the main attractions of Bulgaria, with all their bas-reliefs, facade stucco and architectural elements, but also to create an appropriate environment - people walk here, make business meetings with each other , dates, tourists come here. According to customers, we were fully able to achieve the effect of dynamism on static objects. It’s as if a wizard stopped time for a moment,” said art director of the OMI studio Bogdan Kazachenko.
The models made by the masters of the OMI studio will be located in the open-air park and are generally accessible to visitors. Nevertheless, as Bogdan Kazachenko assures, the models will last at least 10 years, since they are made of vandal-resistant materials that are resistant to atmospheric influences. According to experts, the quality of the work performed can compete with similar European work, and the price is much more affordable.
