Sculpture of a blind man. Studio "OMI" produced a unique art object for Kyiv

The first monument to a blind person in Ukraine was made by OMI craftsmen. The two-meter sculpture became the basis of an art object, which is located in Kyiv near the Darnitsa metro station.

According to the plot of the art object, the sculpture represents a man who, with his eyes closed and a cane in his hands, walks along a tactile path carved from granite. The sculpture bears the phrase “See with your heart” in Braille, so you can understand the symbolism of the art object not only by seeing it, but also by touching it. According to the authors' idea, the product is a reminder of the problem of adaptation of visually impaired people in modern society.

The product is made of plastic and tinted to resemble bronze, so the sculptors manage to achieve the effect of a metal product.
