The masters of the OMI studio professionally design shop windows. Among the main customers are shops, cafes and food manufacturers. Since the objects for placement are perishable products, the existence of such display cases is short-lived. An elementary way out of the situation is to create dummies and props of the food products being sold. These types of “window display products” are based on certified foam and plastic.

The task of the OMI studio master is to give the dummy the most natural look, accurately copying all the smallest details of the original. Otherwise, the final product will not fulfill its direct purpose - to sell. Next, the graphic designer begins work, whose task is to use a brush and paints to give the props maximum resemblance to the original product. The most difficult thing in creating edible food props is making them look appetizing.

To do this, you need to give the copy a natural shine and correctly direct the lighting in the display case. The masters of the OMI studio admit that the simplest thing is to create a packaged product - cheeses, sausages. The most complex are confectionery products - cakes, pastries. But nothing is impossible for the guys. And, as Igor Ashcheulov, art director of the OMI studio, notes, “the more complex the task, the more interesting it is to take on.”
