Today in Kievvodokanal there was a grand opening of bas-reliefs dedicated to outstanding figures of the enterprise: Nikolai Schreiber and Pavel Petimko. The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Petr Panteleev. The 150th anniversary of Kievvodokanal is a significant event for the capital and the whole country.
As one of the oldest centralized water supply and sanitation enterprises, Kievvodokanal celebrates this important anniversary together with Ukraine. A number of commemorative events were organized on this occasion.
OMI is proud to announce that the studio’s craftsmen have created a bronze memorial plaque to forever preserve the memory of the great personalities who contributed to the development of the enterprise.
The ceremony in memory of outstanding figures was attended by their relatives, who actively participated in the creation of bas-reliefs and gave speeches.
Veterans of the Kyivvodokanal, including the former director of the enterprise, and now the head of the Water Information Center, Alexander Popov, and the chairman of the association of primary trade union organizations, Valery Azmanov, also joined the solemn event.
“Over the 150 years of the existence of Kievvodokanal, we have experienced many trials, but thanks to the solid foundation laid by our ancestors, we continue to work for the benefit of the city. Our achievements in comparison with theirs are very modest, and we should take them as a model,” emphasized the deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Peter Panteleev.
The celebrations ended with the laying of flowers at the bas-reliefs as a sign of respect and memory of outstanding personalities.
