The masters of the OMI studio made an unusual model of the Moon for the Dnieper Planetarium.

The masters of the OMI studio made a model of the Moon especially for the Dnieper Planetarium. According to the customer’s idea, the product should replicate the surface of the Earth’s only satellite as accurately as possible, but at the same time, it should be informative and interesting for visitors.

OMI masters did an excellent job with the task. The main part of the Moon model was made of foam plastic. The artists tried to ensure that the surface of the model was as detailed as possible, so the main seas, bays, craters and other important objects were additionally marked with small transparent signs made of fiberglass. The model is also interesting in that it is equipped with an insert that contains basic information about the earth’s satellite. Visitors to the planetarium will be able not only to admire the surface of the Moon up close, but also to learn something new about this celestial body.
