Sometimes, to create a masterpiece of advertising art, everything that is at hand of a specialist is used. Having been involved in large-scale advertising for more than 5 years, the masters of the OMI studio have learned to see the unusual in the everyday, and in every household detail - material for creating sculpture. This is what happened with the Maybelline New York advertising stand, for the creation of which OMI creatives used simple household buckets.
“By playing around with the existing buckets a little - adding necks to them and painting them in the right colors, we “grew up the legs” from plastic and got the effect of jars hovering in the air from which manicure polish is pouring out. The whole thing was set on a Maybelline pedestal. We also created the appropriate surroundings – puddles of leaked varnish downstairs. Due to the “puddles and legs,” the jars stand on a pedestal,” emphasized Igor Ascheulov, art director of the OMI studio.
Igor said that the human brain easily perceives the familiar: nail polish is a liquid substance. Therefore, the jars hanging in the air caused surprise and increased attention - many were looking for the threads by which objects were tied to the ceiling.
“We managed to achieve the goal set by the customer - the advertising design attracted increased attention from visitors. Nearby there was a stand with the corresponding products of the company. As a result, the demand for Maybelline cosmetics has increased,” noted the art director of the OMI studio.
