At the beginning of December 2015, the masters of the OMI studio were contacted by the company “Vzaperti”, which organizes quests in real life. To do this, “Locked Up” determines the theme of the game, equips the room with various charades, traps, puzzles and installs the appropriate environment. The player, getting into the corresponding installation, must go through all stages of the quest and, thus, open the lock and leave the room. The company has created many installations for every taste and sensation of the player. One of the last quest rooms, in the decoration of which the masters of the OMI studio directly took part, was a quest designed, in addition to solving puzzles, to also tickle the nerves of the players.
Specialists from the Association of Artists of Ukraine created dummies of the head and body parts of a pig, as well as parts of the human body.
“We tried to complete the task assigned to us as efficiently as possible and on time. By the end of December the work was completed. The result surpassed itself - the body parts we created caused terrible sensations even among the masters themselves. I am sure that players will appreciate our efforts to bring the dummy as close to reality as possible, and will be able to feel the adrenaline rush while taking part in the quest,” said Bogdan Kazachenko, art director of the OMI studio.
Matrix technology was used to create dummies. It is based on materials such as polyurethane and silicone. After casting and assembling the parts, the masters of the OMI studio used their artistic skills to give the dummy a complete image.
The Vzaperti company highly appreciated the work of the masters of the OMI studio, noting that the use of high-quality materials and paints, as well as
The professionalism of the staff of the association of masters allowed us to recreate a sense of reality and evoked a range of sensations.
