A bronze bust of Honored Metallurgist of Ukraine Vladimir Boyko was cast in the workshops of the OMI studio
The masters of the OMI studio created a bust of the ex-director of the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after. Ilyich, Honorary Citizen of Mariupol Vladimir Semenovich Boyko. The customer was the current management of the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant (MMK), wanting to perpetuate the memory of the people's director - that is what Vladimir Boyko was called in Mariupol.

The bronze bust was made by the masters of the OMI studio a year ago. However, at the request of the customer, its installation on a granite pedestal in the park near the Illichivets indoor sports complex in Mariupol took place only a year after his death, in July 2016. The grand opening was attended by the mayor of Mariupol Vadim Boychenko, General Director of the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works Yuri Zinchenko, former mayor of the city Yuri Hotlubey, representatives of veteran and public organizations, and youth.
“While working on the creation of the bust, we reviewed many photographs, received a lot of information, and today I sincerely believe that we have cast the history of Mariupol in bronze, because Vladimir Boyko is There is a modern history of this glorious city of metallurgists. And we are very honored that we were chosen to make a monument to this man,” emphasized Bogdan Kazachenko, art director of the OMI studio.
