Masters of the OMI studio took part in the sculpture exhibition From December 1 to December 9, 2015 in the Kyiv gallery “Creator” on the street. Bolshaya Vasilkovskaya, 12 hosted an exhibition of sculptures “Clean Slate”. The exhibition hall presented the works of 7 sculptors of the Youth Association of the Kyiv organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (KONUSHU), including the master of the OMI studio. The main mission of the exhibition is to improve the professional skills of young sculptors and introduce the general public to young talents of Ukraine.
“By organizing such exhibitions, we try to create conditions for the development of the creative potential of young sculptors. This is a creative space where you can communicate, exchange experiences, and receive instructions from experienced sculptors,” commented the head of the Youth Association of the KoNSKhU Denis Didur.
Studio "OMI" presented more than 10 of its works at the exhibition, most of which are related to the image of a person. As Bogdan Kazachenko, art director of the OMI studio, noted, the standard of beauty has been different at all times, but the main thing for a creator is to express an idea, a feeling, and convey a mood in his work.
“With certain skills, making a sculpture is not so difficult. But can a lifeless image be called a sculpture? The sculptor’s skill lies precisely in the ability to “revive” a piece of clay,” emphasized Bogdan Kazachenko.
According to the art director of the OMI studio, participation in the exhibition contributed to the realization of creative potential and provided some experience. And a wide range of public brought new acquaintances and contacts. |
